Fruit du travail d\u2019un groupe de professeurs sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s en \u00e9tudes\u00a0canadiennes du D\u00e9partement de fran\u00e7ais de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Ia\u0219i, cet ouvrage\u00a0d\u2019orientation encyclop\u00e9dique et pluridisciplinaire est \u00e0 la fois un dictionnaire de\u00a0langue (qu\u00e9b\u00e9cismes et acadianismes), un dictionnaire des personnalit\u00e9s\u00a0canadiennes francophones du domaine des sciences humaines, et de \u00ab termes\u00a0sp\u00e9cifiques \u00bb d\u2019ordre g\u00e9ographique, historique, id\u00e9ologique ou culturel. Contribu\u021bia lui Louis Bruens a avut un efect hot\u0103r\u00e2tor asupra orient\u0103rii profesionale a lui C. Rigoarea, exigen\u021ba \u0219 sfaturile reputatului critic de art\u0103 l-au ajutat \u00een mod constant pe t\u00e2n\u0103rul pictor s\u0103 g\u0103seasc\u0103 un drum ascendent \u00een cariera sa. Nu degeaba p\u00e2nza care l-a \u00eenc\u00e2ntat pe Louis Bruens dup\u0103 o lung\u0103 perioad\u0103 de dialoguri cu discipolul s\u0103u va purta numele L&rsquo;envol. Louis Bruens a avut clarviziunea de a descoperi momentul hot\u0103r\u00e2tor al lans\u0103rii \u201ecarsonismului\u201d. Aceast\u0103 no\u021biune reprezenta un stil nou care a surprins cercurile artistice prin prospe\u021bimea \u0219 puritatea culorilor, prin curajul compozi\u021biilor \u00een care abstractul \u0219 figurativul dialogheaz\u0103 cu dezinvoltur\u0103. Experien\u021bele au continuat cu alte tehnici \u0219 medii de pictur\u0103: ulei, pastel, c\u0103rbune, cu o preferin\u021b\u0103 deosebit\u0103 pentru culorile acrilice pe care C. le consider\u0103 adecvate modului s\u0103u de lucru datorit\u0103 usc\u0103rii rapide \u0219 cromatismului viu, frapant chiar. Pasta acrilic\u0103 este aplicat\u0103 \u00een tu\u0219e spontane, orientate aproape \u00eentotdeauna pe diagonal\u0103 pe p\u00e2nza alb\u0103, ceea ce d\u0103 o impresie de dinamism, de vivacitate, de dans ritmat. Aceasta este o prim\u0103 abordare a tehnicii carsoniene, o mi\u0219care subtil\u0103 care transport\u0103 materia \u00eentr-o lume a ad\u00e2ncimilor cosmice. Titlurile tablourilor sunt elocvente pentru starea sufleteasc\u0103 a pictorului: Lumi\u00e8re de vie dans mon jardin, Chant printanier, Chant tropical au clair de lune, Nuit tropicale. \u0218ederea \u00een Columbia a marcat \u00eenceputul unei serii de picturi dedicate m\u0103rii. \u00eenotul, c\u0103l\u0103toriile pe veliere, scufund\u0103rile subacvatice pentru admirarea coralilor \u0219 a pe\u0219tilor au stimulat fantezia lui C., dezl\u0103n\u021buit\u0103 \u00eentr-o serie de peisaje marine (Floraison marine, Mon jardin c&rsquo;est la mer).
